PolyXene uses a high-level security architecture - MILS (Multi Independent Levels of Security) or MSL (Multi Security Level). PolyXene makes it possible to simultaneously process data of different sensitivity levels on the same platform but with a total guarantee of confidentiality and full compliance with all security requirements.
Hierarchical organization of the secure zone and user zones
The secure zone is located in PolyXene's micro-kernel and performs the role of security supervisor. All security functionalities are contained within the Trusted Computing Base. The secure zone uses security services that offer complete interoperability with those provided by standard Operating Systems and is totally compatible with real-time applications. System performance is guaranteed thanks to a low memory footprint and CPU usage.
The virtual machine running a guest system such as Linux or Windows. They are implemented as a paravirtualized operating system controlled by the Trusted Computing Base. This system offers foot print and is totally transparent security for users.
Dynamic and customizable platform management
- individual parametrization of security protocols and user profiles
- user-specific hardware perimeter control
